  • Einride has completed its business combination with Legato Merger Corp. III and is trading on Nasdaq under the ticker ENRD.
  • NordicNinja invested in Einride in 2019 after identifying the company’s potential to transform freight transportation through logistics software, autonomy, electrification, and connectivity.
  • The investment reflects NordicNinja’s conviction in founders willing to challenge assumptions in the world’s largest industries.

Today marks a major milestone for Einride as the company begins trading on Nasdaq (NASDAQ: ENRD) following its business combination with Legato Merger Corp. III.

For NordicNinja, the listing represents the culmination of a seven-year journey that began with a long-term vision to transform one of the world’s largest industries through technology.

Recognizing a Category-Defining Opportunity

When NordicNinja first invested in Einride in 2019, many viewed electric vehicles, autonomous transportation, logistics software, and charging infrastructure as separate categories.

The Einride team saw something different.

From the beginning, the company set out to combine electrification, autonomy, connectivity, and intelligent freight orchestration into a single platform designed to modernize how goods move. This broader vision distinguished the company from many of its peers and formed the foundation of NordicNinja’s investment conviction.

Rather than building a better truck, Einride was rethinking the entire freight ecosystem.

Today, that vision has evolved into a global freight technology platform serving customers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The company has more than 30 enterprise customers across seven countries and has built one of the world’s largest electric heavy-duty freight fleets.

Why We Had Conviction Early

The transportation industry is one of the largest and most complex sectors in the global economy. It is also one of the most difficult to change.

What stood out about Einride was not only the scale of the opportunity, but the leadership team’s willingness to challenge assumptions that had defined road transportation for decades.

One of the questions asked when evaluating a company is whether a technology can move from concept to commercial reality. In Einride, NordicNinja saw founders with the technical depth, industry understanding, and ambition required to do exactly that.

That combination provided the conviction to become the first investor to validate and initiate Einride’s Series A financing, which later became a co-investment with EQT.

Building Beyond Capital

NordicNinja has had the privilege of supporting Einride through key stages of growth.

Beyond capital, this included strategic guidance through board participation and introductions across the Japanese industrial ecosystem. NordicNinja facilitated introductions between Einride and Mitsubishi, helping the company access advanced Japanese sensor technologies and industrial expertise relevant to autonomous vehicle development.

These types of connections reflect NordicNinja’s broader approach to investing: supporting founders with the relationships, expertise, and ecosystem access required to scale globally.

Looking Ahead

Today, Einride enters its next phase as a publicly listed company.

As Marek Kiisa, Managing Partner at NordicNinja VC, commented:

“Einride wasn’t improving freight, it was redrawing the map of road transportation. We backed that ambition early because, while others saw an autonomous-electric transport company, we saw the foundations of a next-generation AI freight platform. The leadership team had the vision and engineering discipline to turn science fiction into reality, and today’s milestone reflects years of relentless execution.”

We congratulate Robert Falck, Linnéa Kornehed Falck, Filip Lilja, Roozbeh Charli, and the entire Einride team on this achievement. Their journey is a powerful reminder that meaningful change comes from founders willing to challenge assumptions and build for the long term.

Founded in Stockholm in 2016, Einride (Nasdaq: ENRD) is a technology leader driving the transition to sustainable, cost-efficient autonomous and electric freight operations. The Company’s platform integrates AI-powered freight intelligence, proprietary autonomous technology, and one of the world’s largest electric heavy-duty fleets. Einride serves a global customer base across North America, Europe, and the Middle East through a dual business model encompassing Freight-Capacity-as-a-Service (FCaaS) and a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.
